Our family business has been part of the bingo community for generations. What started as a small, hands-on operation built around a passion for helping the local community has grown into a trusted source for bingo supplies with long reach: while still retaining our classic hands-on approach! Immortalized in his legacy, Gilman's vision is one that we will maintain indefinitely. We’re proud to serve halls, churches, lodges, community groups, fairs, and players across the country extending to Samoa!
Under Gil Schafer for decades, his impact on Bingo in California was immense. From his trailblazing electronic bingo in Casino's and then charities - to his unique approach to inventing new games. He was a jack of all trades. At AV Bingo Supplies, we have a history of supporting our local communities, from fundraising for our local city, county sheriff's and more. We have raised over 5 million dollars for charitable causes, and donated over a million to charities and our community! Gil and his wife Marie made big waves and the legacy they built was continued by their daughter Lonnie.

Lonnie was their daughter and she took over after Gil & Marie passed away. She had an impact in bringing Gil's accounts out of the negative in the turbulent years of the company, and she was the spine that stopped our closure during the pandemic. Her assistance in the company spanned a lot of her adult life, spending a lot of time on site and helping wherever she could.
She was succeeded by Lowell Thomas Grounds (Tommy), the grandson of Gilman and Marie. He was raised by his grandparents as he was orphaned at a young age, and Gil made it a point to instill the values and goals he had towards making the company great. He is attending UCR where he is pursuing his BS in computer science.
